The importance of the railroad to Edinburg is well reflected in this former hotel facing the railroad tracks. Long popular for railroad workers and travelers, the large two-story brick building with a long rear wing has two-story front and side galleries, a hipped roof with hipped dormers, and two-over-two
double-hung windows set into segmental arches. The Veterans of Foreign Wars now use the building for various purposes.
