This is a fine example of the type of rural frame church that was built throughout the county in the late nineteenth century. Above the pedimented gable front is a large square open belfry with an ogee-arched roof. The facade has paneled corner pilasters and two front entrances, one for men and one for women, each with a stained glass transom. A cast-iron fence surrounds the church and rear cemetery.
