This modest wood house was situated in the midst of Dayton's Chinese neighborhood—home during the nineteenth century to Hep Sing and Ty Kim, immigrants from Canton. The simple gable-end structure has single-wall construction supported by wood and stone piers. The house originally included three rooms with dividing walls composed of wide planks covered with fabric, newspapers, and wallpaper.
