Splendidly trimmed in red sandstone and Carpenter's Gothic ornament, this three-story, multigabled red brick residence is notable for its large front porch and third-story octagonal tower with a bell-shaped roof. A tiny, second-story porch is suspended from the southwest corner eaves. The variety of window shapes makes this a good example of the Queen Anne Style. The charming, whimsical nature of this house is accentuated by a matching carriage house and a Queen Anne playhouse. The owner, Dr. Alexander King, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, came to Pueblo as a physician for CF&I and served as mayor of Pueblo.
