This and the house opposite are reputedly the two oldest in town. What at first glance appears to be a unified facade becomes under inspection an additive composition. The original house, recognizable as such by its trim and its smaller windows, is to the south. The north addition contains larger windows. The beaded clapboards are original, and ghosts of a porch can be seen.
