1835. 1902, addition. 1119 Caroline St.

This two-and-a-half-story, five-bay Federal building with Flemish bond brickwork proclaims its purpose with inset plaques on the facade. It was part of a substantial charity operation created by St. George's Episcopal Church, which also had a male charity school nearby that has been demolished.
