1889. Eugène Robitaille, builder. 801 Harrison Ave. (northwest corner of 8th St.)

Eugène Robitaille, who came from Quebec in 1879, designed and made unusual Carpenter's Gothic trim for this granite-based, red brick Queen Anne church with that style's characteristic corner tower dominating the composition. Atop the tower, an open belfry and its bowed balustrade are clad with shingles under a flared pyramidal spire. The bells were moved to the congregation's new church. Its graceful predecessor has been converted to a visitors' center.
