An iron-crested mansard roof over the angled corner entry and paired segmental-arched windows distinguish this three-story, red brick commercial building in the Second Empire style. The original owners, from Delaware, spent $80,000 to erect a first–rate business block, which their heirs sold in 1946 for half that amount. A $1 million restoration in the 1980s converted fifty offices to thirty-six hotel rooms with twelve-foot ceilings and six-foot windows. A mansard half-roof and elaborate geometric frieze adorn the Harrison Avenue facade, while the cornice is crowned by a broken pediment with the building's name inscribed.
