The Fort McIntosh Club was originally the home of Dr. Riley T. Taylor, president of Beaver Female College, which was across the street. The white-painted brick Italianate house features paired elongated windows, central gables with deep eaves supported by paired brackets, and a cupola. At the southeast corner of this nearly square house is a windowed sun porch with shingling above. A classically inspired one-bay porch on the facade shelters double doors topped by a segmental-arched transom. Since 1926, the house has been used as a private club for retired men.
