This Italian Romanesque Revival building of tan brick is distinguished by its striking square bell tower with three stories of triple arches. The arches are outlined with brick corbeling, and the two upper sets are separated by short composite columns. The church's entrance at the base of the bell tower facing nth Street is sheltered by a round-arched portico supported on Corinthian columns. There is decorative brickwork around the windows and on the bell tower and cornice. The southeast facade has three large arched windows under the gable, while the southwest gable has a series of elongated segmental-arched windows. Two-story wings on either side of the 6th Avenue gable end have chevron-shaped eaves, brick belt courses, and smaller segmental-arched windows.
