Wood's three houses on S Street span two extremes of Georgian Revival—from the archaeological interpretation to a sophisticated reordering of its elements. Here,
Wood applied the basic Colonial Revival bay system to an elongated composition but adopted elements frequently used in contemporaneous Beaux-Arts architecture, a raised and rusticated limestone basement containing the entrance with a swan's neck enframement for a two-story window above it. The house, done in partnership with Donn and Deming, was joined to the neighboring Myers House to provide exhibition rooms for the Textile Museum from 1925 to 2015. The two structures are now a single private residence.
