This structure employs the restrained classicism of DeLongchamps's other buildings in town. The three-story building of buff-colored brick rises from a raised basement, culminating in an elaborate entablature with a cornice, brackets, egg-and-dart molding, dentils, and a frieze. The central section is slightly recessed and contains a recessed porch supported by four Doric columns. Five sets of multipane double entrance doors are each topped by a long multipane transom.

The Dangberg family built the structure as the Minden Inn to give the town a fine hotel with features including steam heat and an elevator. For most of the twentieth century the building functioned as a hotel and casino, but numerous alterations greatly diminished its appearance. In the 1990s the owner rehabilitated the building, which Douglas County now leases for use as offices.
