1988, Robert Shreve, ARIX. 701 10th Ave. (northwest corner of 7th St.)

A local firm designed this angular red brick and glass complex housing a $9.2 million civic center, with the 1,700-seat Monfort Concert Hall and 240-seat Hensel-Phelps Theater and a recreation center to the north. Entered through a small ticketing area, the building opens to an expansive atrium with a southeast glass wall and sweeping stairway to two balcony levels.
