Telluride's best example of Gothic Revival architecture is a chapel with a steeply pitched front gable, clapboard siding, Gothic-arched windows, and an unusually elongated gabled bell tower. The surrounding “Catholic Hill” neighborhood attracted many Italians and Austrians. The wooden Stations of the Cross, hand carved in Tyrol, are one of the few ornate touches in a simple frame interior with well-worn pews and humble, frosted glass windows.
