This federal building, sited at the prime intersection in downtown Pueblo, is a fine specimen of Beaux-Arts Renaissance Revival. The modified Italian palazzo combines Florentine and Federal Revival elements. The four-story gray brick building with a rectangular rear wing is sheathed in Bedford, Indiana, limestone. An embossed U.S. seal graces each of the bronze window guards of the main floor, and the American eagle in various poses and scales of justice are carved into the stone trim.
