This is the fourth structure on the wedge-shaped site at the intersection of Spring and Center streets. Two of the previous buildings burned, and the last was demolished for this four-story concrete-framed structure. The building is clad in red brick, the arched windows of the upper three stories are boldly outlined in white limestone, and limestone is also used for the rusticated pilasters and the quoins. Shops occupy the first story, and the upper floors accommodate a hotel.
