This honey-colored brick Gothic Revival church is distinctive for its square tower in the center of the facade with a tall steeple framed by four pinnacles. It was probably designed by the superintendent of the local brick factory, who was born and reared in Sheerness, England, and was perhaps inspired by the rural churches of his native land. In any event, the church's exterior ornamentation focuses on decorative brickwork, notably four rows of corbeling around the tower and molding over the stained glass windows.
