c. 1885, early 20th century. 116 W. Cherry St.

Although somewhat compromised by the later addition of a Craftsman-influenced wraparound porch and replacement windows, this is a striking example of Gothic Revival, a style rare for houses in southwestern Virginia. The weatherboard building has seven steeply pitched gables adorned by decorative bargeboards. Copenhaver was a prominent early resident of Marion.
