Remains of Jeannette's once thriving late-nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century glass industry include approximately one hundred brick company houses, the only brick company housing in Westmoreland County. Erected on adjoining streets between Bullit and Cassatt avenues, these flat-roofed duplexes and row houses have decorative brick parapets and brick corbeling at the cornice. Similar to other company towns, the housing is built along a simple grid of streets with consistent spacing. Although the accompanying Jeannette Glass Company factory buildings have been removed, the McKee Glass Company factory buildings remain and now house an architectural metals company.
