1914, John Minor Botts Lewis. 3409 Rivermont Ave.

Although this long, low, brooding building was described by the local newspaper News (December 14, 1914) as “early English” in style, it is far more closely related to bungalows and to the Craftsman ethic that accompanied it. The main story is capped with an expansive hipped roof with hipped-roofed dormers. The club's members followed the architectural theme of the clubhouse in a more recent pool house, visible from Boonsboro Road.
