Towering over Beverley Street, this five-and-a-half-story, yellow brick building enlivens Staunton's skyline with its gables and square tower. The central gable incorporates a Palladian window and a terra-cotta emblem of the Masonic order. Above the three elliptical arches of the storefront, the window bays are separated by pilasters supporting arches and rise to a narrow balcony with arched windows. Typical of Masonic buildings, here the lower stories were rented to commercial enterprises, although this building's third floor originally housed the Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.
