Anchoring the corner of Mamane and Plumeria streets, the two-story building houses six shops on the first floor and residential units on the second. It sets the tone for much of the street with its corrugated-metal awning, bracketed cornice, and commodious display windows. The gutter system over the second-story windows is of recent vintage. A. L. Ferriera purchased this building in the 1930s. It was restored in the 1980s. Mr. Kaneshiro operated his grocery store here for many years before relocating across the street.
