The quiet repose and simple harmony of this building are produced by its gracefully flowing double-pitched hipped roofs and entrance lanai. The warm interior, with its bracketing and dark, twelve-inch tongue-and-groove walls, remains intact. This Hawaiian-style library was so admired that the Molokai librarian requested that similar plans be used in their Kaunakakai building (ML6).
