Examples of Wood's Colonial Revival row houses abound in the general area, and the Alsop house exhibits many features common to them: limestone lintels above triple windows in a greatly swelling bay whose sunken corner blocks join to form distinctive continuous horizontal belt courses; the door set back beneath an elliptical arch; and pedimented Philadelphia-inspired scroll dormers with switch-back tracery set at the edge of the roof.
