The former tavern has a slate gable roof with elbowed parapeted ends, wooden panels between the first and second stories, and two front entrances surmounted by stuccoed arches. These blind arches are also found at Trinity Presbyterian Church (BU14) in New Canton that dates from the same era and is probably by the same builder, Dabney Cosby.
