This L-shaped, two-story red brick building set on a rough-cut limestone foundation has six bays on its commercial side facing Church Street and six on its residential side facing E. Main Street. The building has a corbeled brick cornice and a hipped roof with prominent parapeted elbow-gabled ends on the sides away from the streets. A corner entrance was clipped out of the building in the early twentieth century. A small cast-iron balcony is on the second story of the E. Main Street side. Inside, the residential section of the building has exuberant Federal woodwork featuring imaginative German-derived folk motifs of stars, tulips, leaves, and vines.
