The intersection of Main and Bridge streets is the heart of Bedford. On the southwest corner is one of the Presbyterian denomination's numerous impressive Greek Revival churches. Here the red brick church has a portico with Doric columns in antis. Pilasters define the flanking walls and a square louvered belfry rises in stages to a slender spire above the pediment.
