The 2200 block of R Street (SK72–SK74) is more diverse than the 2100 block, the location of several detached houses in a wide range of styles. In 1922 Wood designed a new facade and east addition for Mabel Langhorne in the currently popular French Renaissance mode of rough coursed fieldstone with irregular limestone quoins marking all the building's perimeters, including an asymmetrical gabled section that incorporated a garage door.
