This rather imposing example of a full-blown Queen Anne wood row house was the result of renovation of an earlier flat front. The facade was entirely covered by a boldly projecting (4 feet by 8 feet), two-story, double-windowed square bay. The porch has bulbous turned posts, colonial balusters, and fan brackets, a mixture of decorative details typical of the Queen Anne style, as is the delicate linear iron cresting rail above the porch and at the roofline. Sheets was described as the “mechanic” at the time of the modernization.
