A first-rate example of infill in the Lower Downtown (LoDo) Historic District, this private clubhouse squeezed into a narrow vacant lot between two larger structures artfully echoes surrounding buildings. Highlights of green and purple glazed brick in the geometric decoration of the gray brick facade distinguish the two-story, neo-Victorian building. For the facade the architect chose terracotta, marble, granite, tile, sandstone, and metals—all materials borrowed from older buildings in the district, most notably the two-story Oxford Hotel addition (
DV060).
