Posing as a medieval castle, this cinderblock edifice has a recessed central entry flanked by square concrete pilasters and topped by a concrete lintel, with arcaded windows above. Square towers of rough stucco frame an open-trussed, barrel-vaulted roof. Similarly designed state armories also guard Cañon City, Craig, Fort Morgan, Greeley, and other Colorado cities.
