The single-story depot, the town's third, served as the center of commerce in early Brighton, when the railroad was the main form of transportation. Like other vernacular Prairie Style depots, this 80-by-24-foot building is covered with shiplap siding above vertical boards. A trackside bay has sawn gable trim, and large brackets support the wide roof overhang. Moved a block south from the tracks, it is now a restaurant, expanded into an attached Burlington Northern boxcar.
