This corner commercial block retains its cast iron columns and a plate glass storefront beneath a fancy cornice. It opened, according to an 1898 newspaper account, as “a saloon with a female rooming attachment on the second floor.” In 1992 the upstairs bordello reopened as a bed and breakfast with seven small bedrooms, a bath, and a parlor.
