Stonemason and quarry owner George Morrison built this two-story family home with red and white sandstone in a smooth ashlar forming two-foot-thick walls. Details include arches, dentils, and a pediment on the slightly pitched front gable. An attached house in rough-faced red sandstone has matching sills and roofline. After Morrison's death in 1895, James Swanson converted the two houses to the Cliff House hotel. Now operated as a bed and breakfast, this double house is in fine condition amid dense, attractive landscaping.
