The first church for Spanish speakers in northern Colorado is stucco and red tile in the Spanish Colonial style. Curvilinear parapets, twin bell towers, and round arches make this a larger, refined version of smaller country churches in the San Luis Valley. With its credit union and health care station this church did much to improve the physical, spiritual, and economic health of the community. It has been revamped inside as a lecture and concert hall, but faithfully restored outside.
