A crackerjack example of Gothic Revival, this two-story vernacular clapboard dwelling was restored by preservation architects Gary Long and Kathy Hoeft to become their home. Robert Roeschlaub showed solar sensitivities in orienting the main rooms to the south to catch the late-rising and early-setting sun in this deep mountain valley. Spear-point finials emphasize the steepness of the roof and the verticality of the composition.
