1869. 408 Taos St.

Colorado's oldest operating Episcopal church is an early example of Carpenter's Gothic with its clapboard siding and plain wooden trim, lancet windows, front-gable faux quatre-foil, and crosses atop a steep-pitched shake shingle roof. After a windstorm blew the church over and knocked off the bell tower, the church was reinforced with tie rods, and the bell tower was reerected on the ground beside the church. The tracker organ in a solid oak case is said to be the state's oldest operating pipe organ.
