The sixty-seven contributing structures in this predominantly residential historic district represent a range of Victorian styles, from small vernacular cottages to elaborate Queen Anne and Italianate houses of brick and frame construction. This was Longmont's most fashionable neighborhood until wealth generated by the sugar factory that opened in 1902 expressed itself on the city's West Side.
