Located next door to the former courthouse (RK2), this modern building extends its broad, beige brick facade with bands of tinted windows along E. Main Street. The entrance is demarcated from the otherwise undifferentiated facade by a sharp-edged angular projection on one side of a cavernous recess. Deep within the recessed space is the glass-walled entrance to the building. Attached to the northeast corner of the courthouse is a multistory jail facility, easily identified by its narrow slit windows reminiscent of medieval tower openings.
