1890; later addition. 410 W. Virginia Ave.

The most flamboyant of Crewe's residences, this house was built for C. E. Wilson, Crewe's first millionaire, an entrepreneur who began his skyrocketing career as a telegraph operator. His frame house, which resembles George F. Barber's mail-order designs, explodes with gables, dormers, finials, and varied window and porch shapes that are rounded off with a bay window, an oriel, and a conical-roof porch gazebo.
