Brick Row

Early 20th century. 809–825 Temple St. (between 8th and 9th aves.)

These row houses, located several blocks from the center of town, are faced with orange-colored pressed brick and a continuous line of front porches on the first floor. Second-floor porch pediments and projecting bays, some polygonal, some rectangular, give variety to the facade. The row lends an urban, almost “big city” flavor to a residential neighborhood composed primarily of individual houses.
