Although twenty years younger than the timber-frame Jordan's Chapel and only four miles away, this meetinghouse was built of logs, still the tried-and-true method of construction in this remote area of the newly formed Summers County. A simple rectangle, one bay by two bays, the church is eight logs tall. Log ends are notched in half dovetails, while the broad gables are filled with horizontal clapboards.
