The sturdy, random-rubble limestone walls of this imposing manor witnessed much of Keyser's early history. Although later additions now somewhat encase the main block and an early stone wing to the rear, the original form is still easily discernible. The house faces the nearby Potomac River, turning its back to the street and its lesser, later neighbors.
