Several groups of two-story, gable-roofed brick houses, reminiscent of row houses in Baltimore and other large eastern cities, give a good idea of the accommodations the railroad provided for its shop workers. Plain and comfortable, they have simple Greek Revival trim on the doors and windows. Each unit makes up two bays of the facades.
