Treated like a pair of storefronts, the frame and brick two-story building has no connector between the two halves on the first floor. For years, half of the first floor was rented to the federal government. The upper floor has a large auditorium that has served as a gathering place for many of the community's social and civic events. A storm destroyed the tower that once dominated the building.
