1851. North side of Berkeley County 26, .2 mile west of the intersection with U.S. 11 at Bunker Hill

Morgan Chapel, near the site of a 1741 log church that was one of the state's earliest Episcopal churches, stands on the stone foundations of that building's 1818 replacement. The chapel is a plain, rectangular brick building with rudimentary trim. The name, unusual for an Episcopal church, honors Morgan Morgan II, who first conducted services in the predecessor church as a lay reader at age sixteen. Morgan Morgan I, who died in 1766, and subsequent Morgan Morgans II, III, IV, and V, the last of whom died in 1886, are buried in the churchyard.
