This elegant raised cottage, five bays long with a single-pile, center-passage plan, has slender Federal windows, three dormers, interior chimneys, and an elaborate punch-and-dentil and cable cornice with mutules. All in all, it is a house delicate both in shape and detailing but constructed with very roughly coursed fieldstone, an unusual building material in the area, as indicated by the name of the house.
