Wolfe House

Wolfe House

Wolfe House William E. Fischer, Jr.
1828. 219 Market St.

Owned by the same family for six generations, this central-hall two-story frame residence with six-over-six windows and gableend chimneys was built over the original log house. It is a fine example of the Federal style, with a purity of form and materials prized both by colonial builders and their modernist counterparts.
