The cornerstone and bricks salvaged from the 1816 Salem Union Church in the village of Rowe were incorporated into the current building in 1897. The present Gothic Revival church is composed of two-gabled wings with a low square bell tower inserted between them. The interior, renovated during the church's bicentennial celebration in 1975, has restored wooden vaulting, stained glass windows, and an electrified oil lamp chandelier from the earlier church.
