Under the patronage of St. Katharine Drexel (see

), this was built as a school for African American children, but was later converted to a church. The one-story, hipped-roof frame building, originally topped by an octagonal louvered belfry, has an unusual U shape that accommodates an entrance vestibule on each side of the central three-part window.
